It was chock full of some of the most entertaining mini-games ever and I’d love it if someone would make another as getting increasingly drunk and sitting round the TV with others is the best kind of multiplayer. The weekend Hot Topic was interesting to read and it made me think of one my favourite games that being Point Blank. I’d prefer to see publishers charge a fair price for their product rather than be forced to adopt nasty hidden charges in order to unlock the best gear or jump higher.

Gaming is a luxury so I don’t have much time for anyone who moans about how expensive our hobby would become. I think in terms of what you actually get for your money with modern games it’s a no-brainer. If Virtua Racing, Donkey Kong Country, and Shadowrun were selling for nearly 70 quid back in the 90s surely games like GTA V, Call Of Duty and Dark Souls are worth similar amounts now? Games have been around £40 for most releases since the gen before last. Personally, I’m all in favour of games retailing at a higher price point. What I don’t understand is why not just charge an extra 90 cents for the game in the first place? At least that way everyone who buys the game will be paying the extra money, not just the fools who can’t see or just don’t care what damage ‘paying 90 cents just to make Mario jump higher’ will do in the long run. First I think things will get worse before better. I’ve missed some GC goodness this month but the quote about charging 90 cents to make Mario jump higher has got me thinking about where all this is going to take us. Well done Starbreeze, you have just put my emotions through the wringer like no game before.
